Jeremy Parkin

Jeremy has spent much of his working life in IT software support following an honours degree in Computer Science. During his early career, he held a number of IT management roles where he led teams across the globe supporting high-profile customers in 'system down' situations. In 1998 he joined the Support division of Oracle where he became the primary social media lead.

In 1999, in parallel with his work at Oracle, Jeremy put his IT knowledge and life-long interest in aviation together to successfully launch the world's first helicopter industry news website known today as Helihub.com. A thriving industry news site which carries more helicopter industry news than any other website, it is run by a virtual team around the world.

Today, as the owner of Parapex Media, Jeremy combines his business process, analytical and IT skills to advise organisations on how best to leverage the world of social media and then how to manage the solution. Parapex Media follows all the changes in this fluid sector very closely to ensure customers benefit from the latest innovations at all times.

Jeremy is based on the historic airfield of Brooklands, near Weybridge, UK.
