Cannes AirShow, the only General Aviation Exhibition in France, will open its doors for the seventh consecutive year from 6 - 8 June 2013 at Cannes Mandelieu International Airport (LFMD) when it plans to welcome an anticipated 10 000 visitors.

Building on the success of 2012's event organisers, Adone Events, are expecting 150 exhibitors and an even larger static display which will also feature an exclusive pre-owned aircraft brokerage market dedicated to aircraft sales activity.

One of the highlights of this year's show will be the debut appearance of UK-based Aeris Aviation, Europe's sole and exclusive distributor for Eclipse Aerospace Inc. The company, which launched in December 2012, will demonstrate its Total Eclipse 500 aircraft and be arranging demonstration flights at the show.  The twin-engine, factory refurbished, pre-owned jet will be displayed alongside a confirmed 100 aircraft on the static display.

Aeris Aviation will also be promoting the soon to be delivered Eclipse 550, which claims it will be the most efficient twin-jet available when it comes to market later in the year. Participation in the Cannes show is part of a summer - long European "Eclipse Road Show" which sees the Aeris Aviation demonstrator jet visit 10 destinations in Europe, including Hamburg, Malta, and Ibiza, to provide test flights for interested parties.

"With Cannes AirShow, we have an excellent networking opportunity for Aeris Aviation to meet potential Azur-based partners, as well as demonstrate the benefits of the Eclipse to an interested audience in a dedicated aviation environment," said David Hayman, CEO of Aeris Aviation. "With the Eclipse's capacity to land and take off from Cannes Mandelieu a number of demonstration flights have already been booked. This access to Cannes Airport combined with excellent fuel efficiency, bespoke design options, and speed of delivery makes it a desirable aircraft for the region." Aeris Aviation is planning to deliver more than six aircraft to Europe before the end of the year, one of which is likely to be positioned permanently at Cannes airport.

The Total Eclipse 500 will be joining a wide selection of aircraft ranging from ultra-light machines through to business jets, and helicopters, from all the major European and international manufacturers.  Embraer Executive Jets, Cessna, Piper Aircraft, Piaggio Aero, Pilatus, Daher-Socata, Hawker-Beechcraft, Diamond Aircraft, and many more have also confirmed their attendance.

"Cannes AirShow visitors reflect the breadth of aviation and the exhibitors match this variety. There is no other general aviation exhibition in France or in the South of Europe that has as much for aviation professionals and enthusiasts.  It provides the perfect networking opportunity for all those involved to find out more about the latest products, news and trends," said Didier Mary, the event organiser.
