Yousif adds: "Al Bateen Executive Airport is one of the most exclusive business aviation venues in the world and I am proud to be taking on the responsibility of running such an innovative and successful enterprise. Al Bateen has already made its mark in business aviation and look forward to building on the airport's many successes with its terrific management team."

Al Bateen continues its upward trend which saw business aviation traffic grow 11% in 2011, with a successful first quarter in 2012, recording a 6% increase in aircraft movements compared with the same period last year and a 23% increase in visiting business aviation traffic over the same period. Al Bateen Executive airport registered 2,641 commercial aircraft movements in the first three months of 2012 of which 618 were itinerant movements of non-based aircraft visiting the airport.
