Jet2.com flies into Budapest from Edinburgh.

Budapest Airport welcomed Jet2.com's second scheduled service to the Central European hub on 21st April when the UK's fastest growing airline landed at 10.35 on the first flight in a year round schedule between Edinburgh, Scotland, and Budapest, Hungary. The new route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays through the summer, and move to twice a week, Thursdays and Sundays, in the winter. The new service is in addition to the existing direct and daily schedule that already operates between Budapest and Manchester.

The aircraft was welcomed with a water cannon salute on arrival, and the crew were presented with a cake to commemorate the new service.

Fares on the route start from only 44,99€ one way including taxes, and whilst the aircraft, a Boeing 737-300 offers an all economy cabin with up to 148 seats, there is the option to buy extra leg room on eight of the seats, and to select allocated seat numbers on ticket purchase.
