Marshall Aviation Services, part of the Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, this week welcomed the HondaJet, the world's most advanced light jet, to its Cambridge International Airport HQ. The aircraft made its UK debut fresh from its first public appearance in Europe, where it took pride of place last week on the static display at EBACE in Geneva, the business aviation fraternity's second largest industry show. The HondaJet, with its distinctive Over-the-Wing Engine Mount design, was parked at Marshall's Cambridge FBO for invitation-only viewings. Marshall Aviation Services is Honda Aircraft Company's newly appointed sales and service provider for Northern Europe with a territory encompassing the UK regions north of the M4; the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Ireland, Scandinavia and the Benelux countries.
Several demonstration flights were conducted with guests experiencing the HondaJet for the first time. They shared many positive comments about the aircraft's performance.
The aircraft departed Cambridge on Monday at 6 pm for Birmingham International Airport, where it was placed outside Marshall's newest FBO, which will be the company's designated UK sales and support centre for the aircraft. The HondaJet was on display for several hours and available for viewings by prospective customers and interested parties. Then the aircraft headed to Leeds East Airport for a further presentation event.
A final rendez-vous at TAG Farnborough Airport this afternoon completes the HondaJet's UK tour. The HondaJet is visiting more than 10 countries in Europe as part of its 26,000 nm world tour which commenced in Japan on 23rd April.
The HondaJet flies at a max cruise speed of 420 Kts (483 mph / 778km/h) and has a max altitude of 43,000 ft. With a range of 1,180 nm (1,357 miles / 2,185 km), it connects most of the major cities in Europe and the UK. The aircraft seats up to six passengers and also features a fully private aft lavatory with a solid surface vanity unit.
Head of Aircraft Sales Howard Povey and Sales Manager Charlotte Daniels are leading the sales efforts at Marshall for HondaJet.
