Budapest Airport to welcome world cargo conference in Hungary in September 2014.

Hungary's capital Budapest will be the host city of the 14th Freighter and Belly Cargo World Conference which will be staged next year during 21st to 23rd September.

The event, organized by Air Cargo Media Ltd, publishers of Air Cargo News and Freighters World, brings together international players in the cargo and logistics industry from all continents to take part in an annual debate and discussion about freighters and how they fit into today's belly cargo world.  "We will be attracting more top speakers than ever before - especially from Asia, Latin America and Africa - as we focus directly on the challenges driving the industry," said Patricia Cooper, General Manager of the Events Division of Air Cargo Media Ltd.

"We are delighted to welcome delegates of the aviation cargo industry in Budapest and our airport will pull out all the stops to make this event successful for participants," said René Droese, Budapest Airport's Property Director, responsible for cargo activities.  "After the success of Routes Europe 2013 in May this year we are extremely proud to welcome industry leaders from the air freight sector."

This year the event was staged in Abu Dhabi where it attracted over 100 delegates from 29 countries.

Budapest Airport will use the occasion to showcase its new logistics facility at the BUD Airport Business Park.  This October saw the opening of a new 17,000 square metre centre for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (offices and warehouse) - the culmination of a 10 million Euros investment. This marks the first phase of the Business Park development which offers excellent road access and sufficient land for interested companies from the Transport and Logistics industry.
