328 widens its offering with engineering training for Dornier 328 operators.

Tuesday 10th September 2013

328 Support Services GmbH, part of the 328 Group, is expanding its capability at its Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany headquarters with the introduction of third party engineering training for the Dornier 328 turboprop and jet aircraft.  Full training in theory and practice for Category B1, B2 and C courses are introduced with immediate effect and will form part of the company's Customer Support organisation, headed by Bernhard Schuster, Director of Customer Support.

This news follows hard on the heels of the company's EASA Part 147 Training Organisation approval certificate (DE.147.0021) achieved in August 2013 and adds to its growing portfolio of Dornier 328 approvals and capabilities. 328 Support Services is the Type Certificate holder for the Dornier 328 (jet and turboprop series), an approved Production Organisation (EASA Part 21G) for the production and sale of new and spare Dornier 328 parts and an approved EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organisation offering Dornier 328 aircraft maintenance, overhaul, repairs, retrofit and refurbishment work.

As an approved EASA Part 147 Training Organisation, 328 Support Services will offer high quality training modules led by experienced and approved technical instructors from the company's newly refurbished dedicated training area in Oberpfaffenhofen, near Munich.

Managing Director of 328 Group Dave Jackson comments, "This is another significant milestone for our team and further extends our comprehensive package of services offered to Dornier 328 operators. With a cost-effective and approved professional training solution here at our HQ, we believe this new training will prove a highly attractive proposition to the operators of some 150 Dornier 328's currently flying."
