France's Safran Helicopter Engines has presented Pattonair with its Gold Supplier Award, endorsing the expanding global aerospace and defence supply chain provider as one of its best performing suppliers.  Pattonair was awarded Gold Supplier status for its industry expertise, innovation, performance, quality and service, having supported SAFRANHE for close to a decade.

Virginie DELAVAUD, C-Class Procurement Center Manager, SAFRAN Helicopter Engines commented:  "SAFRAN Helicopter Engines'  Gold Award is our salute to the assurance we have from partners which can offer global tailored solutions, guarantee the best performance and provide a real return on long-term investment."

Pattonair has provided SAFRANHE with supply chain services for C class parts since 2007.  Since that time it has shipped over 40 million parts and achieved 98% product availability, significantly outperforming the industry standard.  Last year SAFRANHE awarded Pattonair a new five year contract, through to 2020, with an option to renew in 2018.  Pattonair supports 16 SAFRANHE manufacturing sites from its facilities in France, Brazil and the USA and delivers to over 180 locations including MROs through its global network.

Julien Touzain, Commercial Director, Pattonair France, accepting the award in Bordes said: "Achieving Gold status with SAFRAN Helicopter Engines greatly recognises our contribution and honours us with the highest level of trust and responsibility.  It gives us access to a shared strategy as well as to the new technologies that help improve the SAFRANHE Supply Chain.  Moreover, becoming a Gold partner gives a major boost to Pattonair's strategy to grow its business within the SAFRAN Group."

"This latest award reaffirms our position as a global leader in aerospace supply chain management and reinforces the investment we continue to make through our "PRIDE - Always Outstanding" customer service programme," said  Pattonair Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Hollinshead.   "With our PRIDE ethos, employees continue to drive excellence in customer service."

Pattonair's support to SAFRANHE ranges from planning and inventory management to just-in-time delivery to production lines, kitting solutions, total quality management and testing.  Pattonair takes responsibility for managing the supply chain complexity and costs on behalf of its customers and tailors each solution to meet customer requirements. Pattonair has extensive relationships with several manufacturers globally, which gives Pattonair access to a wide range of products while its high quality standards and approval system allows for faster, more efficient and cost effective aerospace product distribution.

Pattonair boasts blue chip engine and airframe manufacturers as customers, including Airbus, BAE Systems, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Eaton, Parker, Meggitt and SAFRAN. Its over 2000 customers include MRO providers and systems suppliers.

Pattonair will be exhibiting at Farnborough Air Show (Hall 1, Stand C31) from July 11th to 17th.

Following last year's appointment of Jade Gilooly as marketing manager, based at Pattonair's Derby HQ, Surrey based specialist aviation PR company Emerald Media has been appointed to handle the company's external public relations.
