Tastefully Yours launches new Short Flight Catering Boxes.

Tastefully Yours, the Atlanta, GA-based inflight catering
business has launched a range of delicious Short Flight Catering Boxes in
response to the changing demands of executive passengers and crew.

The new service sees a shift away from menus offering heavy meals with larger
portion sizes to lighter fare and smaller servings that require no onboard
preparation or reheating, and that can be served in a single specifically
designed box.

Each menu choice has been planned by award winning Atlanta Chef Dominique
Fallings in conjunction with the Tastefully Yours dedicated in-house
nutritionist Heather Hibben and considers the increased number of requests for
low fat, low salt and low cholesterol diets. The Short Flight Box food items are
replacing familiar standbys with meals prepared utilising the latest in healthy
preparation techniques. Dishes also consider the necessary energy level
requirements for specific arrival and departure times, as well as circadian body
rhythms that may affect those travelling across time zones.

The catering boxes comprise breakfast, lunch and dinner options accompanied
by lighter snacks. For breakfast pre-packaged high protein items such as oatmeal
pancake with cinnamon apple and maple crème fraiche; Japanese scrambled egg wrap
sushi style are available. Lunch or dinner selections feature Thai Beef Salad,
Avocado and Crabmeat salad, or a pyramid shaped Italian Chicken Salad. Whilst
one hour flights can select snacks like Coconut Curried Shrimp on a Lemon Grass
Skewer or a Mediterranean Mezze box for the longer journeys of around four hours
the menu can be bolstered by the provision of extra sides featuring grilled
vegetables or light deserts.

In response to a growing demand of requests for items that are easy to
self-serve in the absence of a Flight Attendant, meals have considered details
such as ease of consumption and storage of packaging once finished. For the
benefit of passengers and aircraft owners food items are prepared in a way that
reduces the potential for spills and dribbles and food has been cut into bite
size pieces to minimise the need for cutlery, and so post meal debris.

This new style of food provisioning is already proving popular with flight
departments who are managing costs and welcome the option to have quality
self-serve meals ready for executives. With three carefully planned price points
orders are originating from a broad range of customers including owner operators
flying King Airs through to G500 and Global Express aircraft types flying
corporate passengers.
