SkyWork Airlines launches new themed winter menu and adds four new cities to its route network.

Wednesday 23rd November 2011

SkyWork Airlines of Switzerland has launched its new winter menu featuring a range of complimentary, themed in-flight meals. Designed with its ever increasing European route network in mind, SkyWork offers a themed meal tailored to appeal to passengers' tastes in each of the eight countries it services.

SkyWork Airlines passengers will be treated to a ham and cheese sandwich with pickle on the route to London City Airport; schnitzel on the route to Vienna; a paella-style rice salad on SkyWork Airlines' Spanish routes; potato salad with sausage on the German routes; pasta salad on the route to Rome and a meat and cheese platter en route to Bern. A children's meal and lactose-free and vegetarian options are also available.

Having increased its presence in the UK with the launch of twice daily Monday to Friday services on its London City-Bern route in September, SkyWork Airlines recently added four new cities to its European route network. SkyWork introduced regular direct flights from Bern to Amsterdam on October 30th followed by Bern to Budapest and Madrid on October 31st and Bern to Belgrade on November 1st.

The airline will operate daily direct flights from Bern to Amsterdam; four flights a week from Bern to Madrid, and twice weekly flights from Bern to both Budapest and Belgrade. This means that a total of 11 year-round destinations are now available from Bern. The SkyWork Airlines route network is set to expand further by next summer: 24 destinations will be available from Bern by the end of March 2012.

Tomislav Lang, CEO of SkyWork Airlines said: "We are delighted with the new routes in the 2011/2012 winter schedule. Forward bookings look very promising. We are also pleased to offer in-flight meals tailored to suit our passengers' tastes. Our meals are crafted using fresh, nutritious and locally-sourced ingredients including fresh fruits and vegetables, premium meats and breads. Initial feedback has been very positive and we are confident that passengers on our new routes will enjoy our themed menu."

On the new service to Amsterdam passengers can enjoy potato pancakes with cheese; on the Belgrade-bound service, meatballs and chutney will be served and on the Budapest flight, marinated vegetables with pepperoni.
