Rockwell Collins rolls out major upgrades to ARINC airport operations product offerings.

Tuesday 15th March 2016

Rockwell Collins today announced a series of significant enhancements to its ARINC airport back office solutions aimed at streamlining passenger processing, improving operations and helping airports accommodate the increased demand for air travel services.

The ARINC offerings move and manage information throughout the airport and beyond, sharing crucial information for improved decision-making. The products include ARINC AirDB™, ARINC AirTQM™, ARINC AirPlan™ and ARINC AirVue™.

"We know worldwide air travel will continue to increase over the next 20 years, with IATA projecting passenger numbers to double by 2034," said Tony Chapman, senior director of Product Management and Strategic Programs for Rockwell Collins.

"This means that airports need to have the right technologies in place to accommodate this growth. The ARINC airport operations solutions help alleviate aircraft congestion at gates, improve on-time departure and arrival rates, as well as provide data to interactive flight information displays that keep passengers informed and moving."

The upgrades, announced at Passenger Terminal Expo 2016, include:

●    The addition of a fully integrated dashboard to ARINC AirDB that provides color coded indicators to monitor airport operations and provides situational awareness alerts like, "Why is the flight still here after its scheduled departure time?"

●    The introduction of ARINC AirTQM, a mobile aircraft turnaround tool that improves on- time performance by better management of controllable delays.

●    A major upgrade to ARINC AirVue Interactive which includes state-of-the-art 3D and mobile wayfinding, multi-media communications and full content management capabilities that can enhance non-aviation revenue at airports.

●    A new, highly intuitive reporting engine in ARINC AirPlan that provides gate/stand utilization reports as well as capturing other daily operational data to enhance future scheduling.

"Rockwell Collins has been aggressively investing in research and development to deliver new products and services," continued Chapman. "These enhancements are just the first of many new innovations we are bringing to market to provide customers with the solutions they need to better manage their operations."

Demonstration of the ARINC operational solutions set will be available during PTE in the Rockwell Collins stand #6000.
