Glasgow Airport signs new five-year contract with Rockwell Collins for ARINC vMUSE™ Common Use Passenger Processing System.

Monday 6th October 2014

Rockwell Collins announced that Glasgow Airport, through the Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) club, has signed an agreement to install more than 150 of the company's ARINC vMUSE™ Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) workstations in the airport.

The ARINC vMUSE system will enable Glasgow Airport to support multiple airline applications running concurrently on the same workstation. This enables the airport and airlines to reduce costs while processing passengers faster and more efficiently.

"The Rockwell Collins solution provides Glasgow Airport with a customized and cost-effective program that meets our current requirements while being flexible enough to easily adapt to our projected growth in passenger traffic," said Graeme Frater, CUTE Club Chairman at Glasgow Airport.

The new agreement, won in a competitive bidding process, is the third contract Rockwell Collins has recently won at the facility. Glasgow Airport also awarded the company contracts for its ARINC AviNet® Airport high-performance network services, as well as the installation and integration of common use self service (CUSS) kiosks.

"Rockwell Collins' ARINC solutions are now being used at three of Scotland's major airports," Michael DiGeorge, vice president of international and global airports for Rockwell Collins. "This contract marks yet another key milestone in our commitment to invest and grow our business in Scotland, and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with Glasgow and other airports throughout the country."
