Visit Farnborough International Airshow in style – the PremiAir way
Thursday 11th February, 2010
Aerospace executives looking for a quick and stress-free way of getting in and out of this year’s Farnborough International Airshow can take advantage of private helicopter charter from The London Heliport with PremiAir, the UK’s leading helicopter charter operator.
Farnborough International Airshow, the industry’s second largest worldwide aviation gathering, will take place between July 19th and 25th and is expected to attract up to 300,000 visitors over the course of the week.
PremiAir’s return shuttle trips will be operated by Eurocopter AS355 Twin Squirrel and Sikorsky S76 VIP helicopters, with executive seating for four and up to seven passengers respectively. The trip takes approximately 20 minutes each way from The London Heliport at Battersea, the capital’s only commercial heliport, with day return fares starting from just £1050 per person, including VAT, in an AS355 Twin Squirrel, or £870 per person, including VAT, in the Sikorsky S76 (based on full occupancy and including all landing fees).
Neil Gibson, PremiAir’s Head of Charter & Management, said: “We have already started taking bookings for Farnborough week, especially from US executives who are particularly savvy about the use of their time when visiting these large corporate events. They have no desire to waste time stuck in traffic on the M3 or M25, both of which get hopelessly congested during Airshow week.
“A staggering US$88.7 billion worth of orders were placed during the 2008 Farnborough Airshow, so we know time at the show is spent doing serious business. Travelling by helicopter will enable chief executives and senior management to fit more meetings into their daily show schedules and still enable them to be back in central London to host a client dinner without fear of being delayed.”
The ground transportation issues getting to and from Farnborough Airshow are notorious, with the sheer weight of traffic regularly leading to total gridlock between Farnborough and the M3 during peak hours.
PremiAir recently scooped the ‘Best Executive Aviation Provider’ accolade at the 2010 Business Travel Awards. The company’s reputation as a world-leading supplier of helicopter travel solutions, encompasses the entire journey, point-to-point. PremiAir can arrange luxury chauffeur driven cars to transport guests from the heliport to their final destination. And for visitors arriving from outside London, PremiAir can tailor a suitable helicopter package from almost any UK location, providing the ultimate solution for travelling convenience.
