With fresh snow forecast for early next week there is still time to book a last minute family ski trip this February half-term.

Snowjet has availability on February flights departing on Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th from London Stansted to Sion and from Gatwick, Bristol and Stansted to Chambery on Saturday 19th. All flights are bookable at www.snowjet.co.uk.

New for 2011 - Weekend or short ski breaks

Snowjet’s timetable for the 2011 ski season, introduces increased frequency on the Stansted-Sion route - up to three times weekly from 18 February, ideal for the half-term school break – with a later Sunday return flight enabling weekend or short ski breaks. “Our increased frequency, with departures on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during peak season, will enable weekend ski breaks, which are perfect for the busy executive who can’t get away for a full week, or for the enthusiast keen to grab every opportunity to get to the slopes,” said David Lacy, Snowjet’s Managing Director.

Snowjet’s Sion flights are the only scheduled services to this exclusive and efficient Alpine airport. Flying direct to Sion is the fastest route to some of Switzerland’s top ski resorts, including Zermatt, Verbier, Saas Fee, Crans Montana, Nendaz and Veysonnaz.

The Stansted-Sion flights complement Snowjet’s established routes to Chambery ski airport in the French Alps from Gatwick, Stansted and Bristol. Flying to Chambery makes for significant time savings on transfers to some of France’s top ski resorts, including Meribel, Val d’Isere and Courchevel.

Snowjet was established in 2007 to cater for the independent skier and today offers flights to Chambery airport in the French Alps and to Sion airport in the Swiss Alps.

In 2009 Snowjet was purchased and is now wholly owned, by Titan Airways, one of the UK’s most successful and prestigious charter airlines. The backing of one of the most financially secure airlines in the UK has already enabled Snowjet to expand its ski flight operation. Last winter the airline successfully launched the only scheduled service from the UK to Sion Airport. And for winter 10/11, due to popular demand, the airline has increased the frequency of its Sion flights to three times a week during peak season.
