Oriens Advisors and Gates Aviation LLP form alliance to add value for clients

Monday 3rd May, 2010

Oriens Advisors, headquartered in London, UK today announces the formation of an agreement with fellow London-based aviation service providers, Gates Aviation LLP. The relationship sees the two specialists complement each other’s specific expertise. Oriens provide support to all elements of the aerospace business across the entry level jet sector. Gates Aviation specialises in security and safety management, crisis and risk management, insurance, and other aviation services.

The relationship will give Oriens' clients access to a core set of operational, technical and other areas of aviation expertise including risk assessment, safety, security and contingency planning tasks.

“Our skill sets match very well,” commented Edwin Brenninkmeyer, CEO of Oriens Advisors. “We can provide Gates Aviation clients’ board directors with aviation experience, commercial support for new or existing business, and investment sourcing.” He adds: “Gates Aviation has traditionally focused on the airline and business aviation industry sectors, specifically looking at risk and insurance related aspects, whereas Oriens central business revolves around supporting the value chain in the personal jet transportation market.” Target clients will include start up operators looking for commercial advice; airports seeking guidance re expansion, IT optimisation providers supplying security and risk analysis software, along with lobby groups requiring information about access to government and regulatory bodies.

Initially the association will see Oriens focus on its key market of Europe but will maximise the access to international best practice operated by Gates. “We have chosen a flexible approach to the structure of the relationship and will work with each other on a project by project basis to deliver the best service possible.”

Oriens launched in September 2009 and has rapidly increased its network within the aviation arena. It also recently announced a partnership with US based company InterFlight Group which it hopes will expand its presence in the USA. “Oriens is a networked organisation and we seek the best solutions for our clients which inherently results in forming strategic partnerships with like minded businesses,” comments Brenninkmeyer.

Ron Lindsay, Managing Partner at Gates Aviation says, “We look forward to working with Oriens on mutually beneficial projects and are already exploring potential projects where our complementary skill sets will add value to the client experience. We have chosen to work with the Oriens team as they bring professionalism and expertise to areas in which Gates is still developing. We value the knowledge and experience they bring from their activity in the entry level jet sector. It is rare to find a business alliance which so neatly complements our own market offering. Collectively, we offer a much stronger market proposition and one which we are certain clients will find compelling.”
