Greys selected as preferred chauffeur company at ‘oxfordjet’
Wednesday 17th September, 2008
Oxford Airport has agreed preferred supplier status to leading executive chauffeur car company Greys to provide luxury vehicles at its newly opened business aviation centre, oxfordjet. Chelsea, London-based Greys is basing S Class Mercedes, BMW 7 Series and Chrysler Voyager people carriers to offer a seamless transfer service. Oxfordjet officially opened mid July, affording business charter passengers and private jet crew the finest experience that business aviation has to offer.
“We are delighted to be supporting this brand new business aviation facility at Oxford Airport which we believe has tremendous potential,” said Michael Wilson, Director of Sales at Greys. “In our experience the run to Oxford Airport, taking advantage of the M40 in most instances is quicker to get to than many of the airports servicing the private aviation sector surrounding London, particularly Biggin Hill.”
The company, which marks its fifth birthday early next year has seen its business double since last year, largely as a result of focusing its activities in the private aviation sector, which has seen a dramatic increase in its volumes.
Greys is an established name serving the chauffeur needs of companies such as Harrods Aviation, PremiAir and Ocean Sky. Airport clients include London City Airport Jet Centre and Northolt. It also has preferred partner status at the London Heliport at Battersea. Greys recently ratified a working agreement with Chabé Limousins in Paris which covers chauffeur requirements throughout France and Monte Carlo. Chabé has been in the business since 1921 and like Greys is fastidiously focused on customer service. Chabé adds to the network of chauffeur companies Greys works with all over the world.
“The selection of Greys is the first in a series of partner agreements we are ratifying and we look forward to making more announcements soon,” said David Surley, oxfordjet Customer Service Manager.
Oxford Airport is well located geographically and demographically within close proximity of the M40, A34, A40 and A44 road networks, providing excellent access from one of the most lucrative catchment areas in the country. And now, for the first time, Oxford is a viable gateway for the most influential business people in the world providing an exceptional asset to the local transportation infrastructure.
Oxford Airport’s opening hours increased earlier this year and the airport is now open from 0630 to 2230. There remains the potential to further extend these opening hours over the next two years from 06:00 to midnight. Oxford Airport’s costs are considerably lower than the usual London airport options, offering a convenient, easy access alternative to the established London airport choices.
