ExecuJet promotes futuristic jet travel to World Cup VIPs

Monday 21st June, 2010

ExecuJet Aviation Group is showcasing a glimpse of the future to VIPs and sporting personalities passing through its FBO in Cape Town, South Africa, this month. Centre stage in the reception of the FBO is a large scale model of the new Aerion supersonic business jet (SBJ). The aircraft will have the capability of flying from London to Cape Town at Mach 1.5 in less than nine hours, saving more than three hours compared to a conventional jet.

As the exclusive sales representative of the SBJ outside the Americas, ExecuJet is taking fully refundable deposits for the 8 to 12-seat Aerion business jet, which is planned to enter service in 2016. Since ExecuJet became involved with the programme in November 2007 it has attracted an order book of approximately 50 aircraft.

ExecuJet South Africa is set for its busiest month to date handling more than 150 visiting business jets carrying VVIPs, celebrities, presidential flights, dignitaries and some of the international teams at its Cape Town and Lanseria, Johannesburg facilities coinciding with the world’s largest soccer tournament.
