ExecuJet Expands its Maintenance Services in Asia Pacific
ExecuJet Aviation Group is expanding its international and local business presence in Asia Pacific with the opening of aircraft maintenance facilities in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as well as in Melbourne and Brisbane, Australia.
ExecuJet has entered into an agreement with a local aviation company for the provision of hangar and maintenance facilities with a number of technicians operating from its newly established base at Subang Airport, Kuala Lumpur. In December 2008 ExecuJet Australia was awarded rights to establish a Bombardier Authorised Service Facility for South East Asia, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Maintenance services for the Malaysian and surrounding regional based customers include heavy level aircraft maintenance, mobile repair party support and maintenance control.
ExecuJet’s new state of the art, fully independent and approved hangar facility at Essendon Airport, Melbourne can accommodate two aircraft up to Bombardier Global Express or Gulfstream 550 size, together with four mid size jets. Maintenance support covers most wide-bodied aircraft and medium range aircraft including Global Express, Gulfstream, Challengers, Citations and Hawkers. Support services include aircraft movements, maintenance ranging from turn around service requirements to heavy maintenance such as gear restorations on wide-body aircraft and Phase 5 inspections on Citations. The facility is professionally staffed with a number of licensed and certified engineers that are available to render support as and when required.
In addition, ExecuJet’s Melbourne maintenance facility has the capacity to support Turboprop aircraft owing to ExecuJet’s affiliation with engine manufacturers such as Honeywell for the TPE 331 powered aircraft and Pratt & Whitney Canada for the PT6 powered aircraft. With many turboprop aircraft in the local market, ExecuJet is well placed to provide aircraft owners and operators with quality maintenance and OEM support. A comprehensively equipped FBO is envisaged for ExecuJet’s Essendon location in the near future due to customer demand for onsite offices, lounges and crew facilities.
Work on the new Brisbane maintenance and FBO facility has commenced and is due for completion in September 2009. The facility will predominantly cater for aircraft management and maintenance requirements and as with Melbourne will have the capacity to support warranty repair work on the entire Bombardier family of business aircraft, namely the Global, Challenger and Learjet series.
ExecuJet bolsters charter fleet in Asia Pacific
ExecuJet Aviation Group offers an extensive selection of charter aircraft - ranging from narrow-body to wide-body aircraft - and continues to be the market leader in the Asia Pacific. ExecuJet's charter fleet consists of the newest and most sophisticated aircraft and with the arrival of the Global 5000, it now has the biggest fleet of wide-body aircraft available for charter in the region.
Since taking over charter management of a Global Express, ExecuJet has increased the annual charter bookings significantly over the previous year. Clients are travelling from the Asia Pacific region to destinations all over the world and are calling upon ExecuJet’s to arrange this. Busy Executives have found travelling within USA and Europe to be very time consuming and tedious compared with meeting a private aircraft at their International arrival port in maybe London or LA and having a business jet transport them quickly and efficiently to their meetings.
"It is sometimes difficult to source a suitable aircraft for clients, but it is always worth it as our effort is recognised and this strengthens our client relationships.” says ExecuJet Charter Sales Manager, Asia Pacific, Roxanne Simpson.
The etm Group, a boutique travel and event management company, is a frequent client of ExecuJet Asia Pacific. Jan Upton, Company Director stated, “Our high end leisure clients often require the convenience of a private aircraft as part of their itinerary. We have always found ExecuJet to be extremely efficient, totally professional and most importantly highly confidential. ExecuJet provides perfect options on aircraft types and we are always reassured by their strict compliance on all aircraft,” he added.
ExecuJet is one of the only charter operators in the region who use Avinode - one of the most sophisticated tools for managing charter quotes and online availability to brokers around the world. “This gives us an advantage in the market as we can satisfy customer needs at a much quicker rate, therefore providing a better service for clients” says Simpson. As many customers do not always book charter flights well in advance, this system provides ExecuJet with a definite time advantage and contributes to the overall efficiency of the charter department.
