Hurricane Irma 1

Debby Aharon, CEO of Provo Air Centre on Turks & Caicos has boarded up her household on a salt lake and taken shelter in the FBO ahead of Hurricane Irma, which is due to hit the Island tonight.

Yesterday she despatched two charters and got 60 people off the Island. IBC Airways were brilliant, flying on request, without any payment guarantee.

Two bizav heroes emerged in the shape of a NetJets USA Gulfstream crew and its frax owner.  Seeing a crowd of desperate people trying to get off the Island gathered in a panic the Captain said  - we have nine empty seats here - what do you think?  Without hesitation they offered free rides to nine people, including one large family with very young children and an older couple. It was an emotional gesture uniting the lucky evacuees, generous owners and super crew to provide some  relief on a very difficult day.
