The Spanish airline plans further growth in 2013 to focus on international routes.Vueling to host a Summit on Safety in conjunction with the European Association for Aviation Psychology (EAAP)


In the weeks, Vueling will start the selection process to recruit for up to 500 new jobs in Spain, as a direct result of its planned expansion for the summer season of 2013 which will begin in March. From next spring, the new generation airline will increase its operations at El Prat-Barcelona Airport by introducing new international routes.

This will include the recruitment of pilots, cabin crew and support staff from different sectors and specialties.


Over the course of this summer season which ends on October 24, Vueling has excelled, reporting the largest growth in its history, especially at the Catalan airport, El Prat-Barcelona where it has raised the number of based aircraft from 22 to 38 and handled 22% more passengers compared with the same period during 2011.

  • Vueling to host a European Summit on the 'Human Factor' in Flight Safety.

From 22 to 25 May 2013, Vueling, in conjunction with the European Association for Aviation Psychology (EAAP) will hold the 13th annual symposium on flight safety at its headquarters at El Prat de Llobregat.


Titled "Human Factors in Flight Safety, Risk Management and Safety Investigation", representatives from airlines, service providers, aircraft manufacturers, the military and aviation safety regulatory bodies together with research bodies from different countries will discuss improvements in the field of aviation safety.


Offered annually since 1999 in the central offices of well-known airlines, the course provides the opportunity to reflect and share knowledge and tools to allow those involved with aviation safety to enhance their procedures to the highest degree.


The course is offered by professionals with extensive knowledge and experience in the investigation of major incidents from the aviation sector as well as from other industries that can be applied in the aviation setting.
