Avialogistics highlights enhanced service provision at EBACE 2011.

Tuesday 3rd May 2011

Avialogistics, a leading provider of business aviation services offering VIP aircraft cleaning at business airports across the UK, will be highlighting its expertise in 'working at height' at EBACE, Geneva from May 17-19. Avialogistics' Managing Director Tracy Ring will showcase the company's internal and external aircraft cleaning capabilities as the company invests in specialist access equipment to enhance its service provision to a growing client base.

New Working at Height Equipment:

"We have taken delivery of several pieces of new equipment to enhance our 'working at height' capabilities," said Tracy. "The investment includes a new scaffolding tower and a specialist ladder that fits over aircraft wings. We have also ordered a hydraulic boom, due for delivery in May, which will enable us to access parts of an aircraft that are currently very difficult to reach. This will be a first at Farnborough Airport and we will be hosting an open day in the early summer to demonstrate our enhanced capabilities to our customers.

"The new equipment enables us to offer even safer access and fall protection when our experienced cleaning personnel are working at height. Working at height is a critical issue in this industry and we aim to be at the forefront regarding health and safety," added Tracy.

Restocking Service at Farnborough:

With effect from 1st May, Avialogistics, in conjunction with TAG Aviation, will offer a new restocking service at Farnborough Airport. The company will provide dry stores, beverages and wines delivered direct to the aircraft door at the request of crew or handling agents, enabling TAG to offer an additional service to its Farnborough customers. "We have a dedicated, fully stocked, delivery van which will deliver to aircraft on a short turnaround or to those requiring just a few necessities but not full catering," said Tracy Ring.

Expanded Cleaning Services and New Offices at Luton:

Avialogistics has moved to new, bigger offices at Luton as a result of an expanded cleaning service now being offered at the airport. "Gama's Luton-based fleet is growing and Avialogistics' services at the airport have been bolstered to cater for demand," said Tracy. In addition, Avialogistics has invested in new portable scaffold tower equipment at Luton, which will enable the specialist staff to increase their capabilities for working on the Apron. "This gives us a unique advantage," explained Tracy. "As there is no hangarage at Luton for visiting aircraft, we were previously unable to provide an aircraft washing service. The portable scaffold tower equipment overcomes this obstacle and we can now offer our full range of VIP cleaning services to visitors."

Avialogistics Limited, part of the Gama Group of companies since 2008, is the UK's oldest business aircraft cleaning company with more than 20 years' experience. The Company provides a full range of aircraft cleaning and restocking services (for both fixed wing and rotary aircraft) to base operators and visitors at all the London airports, with Farnborough, Luton and Biggin Hill being primary bases. Cleaning support is provided to several handling agents, including TAG Aviation, Harrods Aviation, Ocean Sky Jet Centre and Biggin Hill Handling.

In addition, Avialogistics regularly travels to other locations throughout the south of England to carry out specific contract and ad-hoc work for its wider customer base. Further expansion is anticipated within the next 12 months.

Specialists in turnaround cleaning services Avialogistics aims to meet all of its customers' needs, regardless of how short their stay in the UK is. The Company has considerable experience in maintenance cleaning and detailing services such as brightwork polishing, carpet cleaning and leather cleaning.

Working seven days per week, all Avialogistics staff, most of whom have been with the Company for a number of years, are security vetted and cleared to work airside in restricted zones. Avialogistics is also testing a new range of 100% natural products, all aviation approved, in order to reduce its carbon footprint in line with the Gama Group's stringent environmental policy.

Founded in 1988, Avialogistics prides itself on its first-class reputation. It has trained personnel within its Management team who are responsible for Quality Audit, standards of service, cleaning procedures and staff training to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
