North Americas-based Flying Colours Corp. has extended the range of airframes on which it can now install the INAIRVATION pre-engineered retrofit solutions in North America. At this year's NBAA - booth 1208 - Flying Colours will be promoting the options now available for Bombardier Challenger 300, Bombardier Challenger 605, Gulfstream G450 and Gulfstream G550 models. This is in addition to the first type confirmed with the Austria-based joint venture at NBAA 2015, the Bombardier Global Express.

Following the signing of the launch customer in April this year, work on the first Global aircraft began in late September 2016 at Flying Colours' Peterborough, ON. headquarters, and is progressing to schedule for re-delivery in March 2017.

The scope of work has involved the removal of the complete interior, and initial conceptual engineering to ensure efficient installation. The Global's cabin interior is now undergoing a complete overhaul utilizing Flying Colours own design engineering, cabin monuments and outfitting expertise. B/E Aerospace seat frames covered in a variety of exotic leathers will replace the existing fixtures adding to the contemporary style which is also enhanced by carbon fiber veneers, accented by an ebony hardwood.

A rainbow spectrum of mood-lighting choices all controlled by the nice® HD CMS will be added. Connectivity will be upgraded with the installation of a GoGo ATG 5000 high-speed data system.  These elements from Flying Colours will be combined with the Global INAIRVATION package incorporating the nice® HD Cabin Management and Inflight Entertainment system (CMS/IFE) from Lufthansa Technik with functionality integrated into new ergonomic side-ledges manufactured by F/LIST. At the same time Flying Colours will add new exterior paintwork featuring an eye catching honeycomb design.

"Our team is working really well with INAIRVATION's as our mutual experience on the Global airframe plays to our advantage," said Sean Gillespie, Executive VP of Flying Colours. "Future completions on the Global will be even quicker as the complete concept will have already been tried and tested. For aircraft owners downtime is money so this combined option of using our own designs, and the pre-engineered items creates significant financial and time savings for them."

"Partnering with experienced professionals is key for completing cabin retrofits with a very short downtime. Already with Flying Colours our first joint project is proving to be smooth, efficient and fun", says Philip von Schroeter, Co-CEO of INAIRVATION, "I'm confident the customer will love it too."

Flying Colours Corp. is already in discussion with a number of Global Express and Challenger 605 clients exploring the benefits of blending the Flying Colours interiors expertise with the INAIRVATION pre-engineered offering. The next Global project is likely to begin in the second quarter of 2017.
