Jota Aviation, the independently owned aircraft charter company based at London Southend Airport, continues to expand and enhance its business aviation activity with the recent introduction of a low time, top of the range King Air C90 GTX, G-MOSJ.  The aircraft, built in late 2010, offers a 1,300 nm range and smart interior, configured for six seats in a Club 4, plus two arrangement.  G-MOSJ was previously operated by Jota for three years, during  2011-2014.  It is the company's fifth King Air and Jota Aviation has just succeeded in gaining approval to widen its AOC coverage for its entire fleet, including its BAe 146-200 jet - to include the Middle East, Africa, Iceland, Russia and the Azores.  This means that it can respond to charter requests on a much wider scale, should demand require.

Meanwhile the BAe 146-200, which joined Jota's fleet in October 2014, is now available for charter, sporting 50 executive seats.

Offering 2/2 reclined two-tone grey leather all business class seating, supplied by London Southend-based Aircraft Components Services, plus generous seat pitch, this version will suit niche operators and charter brokers.  It will be ideal for incentive events, car launches, sports and music tours and international football teams, as the football season resumes at the end of August, suggests Commercial Manager Mike Sessions.  "We are confident we will get a lot of demand for this version, especially with the 146's short runway performance too. We will also make available first class hot or cold VIP catering on china with appropriate metal cutlery and glasses. We have already flown a number of sports teams - rugby, football as well as film production teams this summer, in addition to our sub charter ACMI airline work for major UK and European airlines," he added.

Jota Aviation is the largest operator of the smaller King Air 90 family in Europe, the aircraft seating up to six passengers and the larger King Air 200 that seats up to eight passengers, plus a dedicated cargo aircraft with a large double cargo door, able to carry in excess of 1,000 kgs. Aircraft deployed on cargo and passenger flights from London Southend Airport and are available for crew movements and urgent AOG spares.  The King Airs are available 24/7 for passenger and freight bookings.
