Flying Colours Corp., the North Americas-based completions, refurbishment and maintenance specialists, returns to Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) at Dubai World Central December 8-10, Booth 452 with the announcement that maintenance work on a second aircraft under approval from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) is nearing completion. The project which is being undertaken at Flying Colours' Peterborough, Canada headquarters involves heavy maintenance on a Challenger 604 as well as interior refurbishment and new exterior paint.  It is anticipated that delivery to the customer will take place in mid-December.

The interior is being refurbished in new luxurious leathers and fabric, custom carpet and includes the installation of a four-place conference grouping which will result in increased passenger capacity, up from 10 to 12. The aircraft's exterior is being refinished in a stylish custom metallic paint scheme.

The project which will have taken around 10 weeks to complete also includes a number of maintenance calendar inspections and service bulletins. Flying Colours Corp's dedicated maintenance team is currently working on further projects with the same Qatari operator.

This latest project follows a Bombardier Global Express which underwent MRO work at Flying Colours Corp's headquarters in June marking the company's first Qatari registered aircraft to be worked on under approval from the QCAA. Flying Colours Corp. was awarded approval on June 17th to undertake continuing airworthiness and maintenance work on aircraft registered in the State of Qatar, including all those under its Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) approval including the full Bombardier Challenger range, Bombardier Global Express, and the Dassault Falcon family.

"We are very pleased to return to MEBA in this our fourth year at the show. The Middle East is an extremely important region for us and we are delighted to be nearing completion on a second aircraft under approval from the QCAA." commented Sean Gillespie, Executive Vice President, "We anticipate further developing our business as demand for private jet travel throughout the Gulf region continues to increase. During the show, we will be talking up our latest approvals and informing potential clients about the benefits of using our facilities."

The QCAA approval adds to the existing broad range of maintenance approvals that Flying Colours Corp. has achieved. Current approvals include CAAC, GACA, Transport Canada, FAA, EASA, Cayman Islands, and the Isle of Man, Combined, these certifications enable the business to offer on-going services to private aircraft on the relevant varying registries.
