With the countdown to AfBAA Expo, Africa's first ever dedicated Business Aviation exhibition, AfBAA Expo, which will take place at Marrakech FRA Airport, 23 - 26 April 2014, well under way the organisers, the African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA) and IEC, are finalising details to ensure the inaugural event delivers a unique and stimulating opportunity for all those taking part. In less than two years after launching the Association, AfBAA has used its network of influential industry leaders and membership knowledge to create an event that has been designed with aircraft owners in mind.

AfBAA has played a key role in developing the AfBAA Expo to ensure an experience that will maximise aircraft owner, OEM and service provider interaction. AfBAA is a staunch advocate of participation and communication as a means of developing Business Aviation on the continent. An invite only Gala dinner, with Platinum Sponsor Jet Aviation, is underpinning this mission as it aims to bring leading industry stakeholders, owners and OEMs together. "We have actively been working with the organisers and our contacts to attract aircraft owners, aspiring aircraft owners and fleet managers to ensure our exhibitors maximise their time and investment," states Rady Fahmy, Executive Director of AfBAA. The Association has been integral in designing the format of the show which aims to provide an intimate dedicated Business Aviation environment that will enable all those who attend to enjoy a concept that will provides a platform from which to network across the complete spectrum of the continent's Business Aviation activity.

The AfBAA Expo is a completely independent event running in parallel with the bi-annual Marrakech Air Show so enabling visitors to maximise their time visiting the full spectrum of business, commercial and military aviation as the two events run side by side. Alongside the leading OEMs including Beechcraft, Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault, Embraer and Gulfstream, a strong line up of international leading aviation services brands will showcase their latest information and products during the three day event.

Following hard on the heels of the success of the Nigerian Business Aviation Conference which highlighted the importance of Business Aviation in Nigeria and the part it plays in stimulating economic growth, the first AfBAA Expo will reinforce this point when it brings together, financiers, lawyers, OEMs, FBOS, trip planners, and industry leaders to provide a wider platform for discussions in a dedicated Business Aviation environment.

AfBAA Expo visitors will also benefit from the first ever Show Daily newspaper to be produced which will cover news from the AfBAA Expo as well as the Marrakech Air Show. The newspaper will report directly from the AfBAA Expo exhibition floor and provide visitors with daily commentary from the exhibitors, delegates and industry leaders, whilst also reporting on deals, business and latest news from all the exhibitors.

"We are genuinely excited about the upcoming event which we anticipate will provide an opportunity for all African Business Aviation stakeholders to share knowledge and experience whilst learning more about the latest developments in Business Aviation across the continent. For a young Association it's a great achievement to provide our members, and other stakeholders with such an excellent venue, networking opportunities and dedicated exhibition," concluded Fahmy.
