JETS (Biggin Hill) Ltd sells Biggin Hill FBO facility to Signature Flight Support.

Thursday 27th February 2014

JETS (Biggin Hill) Ltd, the expanding business aviation MRO, has announced the sale of its London Biggin Hill Fixed Base Operator (FBO) division to one of the world's leading FBO brands Signature Flight Support. JETS is continually focused on providing a leading customer experience and the new FBO operator, which already has an established Service Promise and an expanding global network, will provide the quality JETS' customers have come to expect when landing at London Biggin Hill.  The move comes as the company focuses on expanding its MRO activity, which has been bolstered of late with an increase in its Dassault Falcon work owing to the Authorised Service Centre status it was awarded last year.

Announcing the sale today, Groupjet Managing Director Dave Jackson said, "We are continuously striving to deliver a premium customer experience. The sale of the FBO division will complement our MRO service as we anticipate that the presence of the new brand will bring us more business in the future, as well as attracting new aircraft and operators to the airport as a whole. We are confident that our existing customers will value the new offering and that we will facilitate a smooth transition."

The new FBO management will retain the existing JETS' FBO team while the facilities which already incorporate a well appointed lounge, complimentary Wi-Fi, a crew rest area, shower, meeting room facilities and a refreshments area, will be rebranded with the new company's identity.

JETS was established in October 2004, initially to provide MRO services to Hawker 125s.  Today it boasts a broad range of engineering capabilities at both its Bournemouth and Biggin Hill locations in aircraft maintenance, avionics installation, refurbishment, exterior painting, Part M services and hangarage.  Under its EASA Part-145 approvals, JETS carries  out scheduled base maintenance and defect rectification, through minor and major modification embodiment to full cabin interior refurbishment in conjunction with its sister company 328 based in Germany, a full EASA Part 21G level 1A (Design) and Part 21J (Manufacture) approved company.  It is an Authorised Service Centre (ASC) for Dassault Aviation enabling it to undertake line maintenance on the Falcon 900 and 2000 at its Biggin Hill facility.
