Vertis Aviation appoints Neil Turnbull as Chief Operating Officer.

Swiss-based Vertis Aviation, part of the independently owned aviation company 28 East Group, announced today the appointment of Neil Turnbull to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Effective February 17th, Neil will lead the day to day operations of the luxury air charter company freeing up the partners to focus on strategic development. He will also be responsible for further expanding the Vertis brand, supporting growth of the Vertis fleet and implementing systems that will ensure maintenance of the high standards of service for which Vertis has become known. Neil will be based at the company's Kensington, London office and report directly to the Board in Zug, Switzerland.

Neil brings over 27 years of professional, international business aviation experience to the role with expertise in operations, sales and business development. Most recently, he held the position of General Manager at SaxonAir Charter where for the past two years he was responsible for the day to day operations at the private air charter company's Norwich, UK facility. Prior to this he gained highly relevant experience in a variety of senior management roles in operations and sales at companies based in Zurich, Dubai and the UK.

In the past Neil has trained as a JAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) and currently holds a Private Pilot's Licence with multi-engine rating.
