Expanding business aviation operator Farnborough based Bookajet www.bookajet.com is moving firmly into the long-range market with yet another transatlantic capable aircraft added to its managed fleet.  The latest addition, a Gulfstream IV, featuring 13 executive seats and a rear bedroom, recently joined its fleet.  Currently operating privately, it is anticipated the aircraft will become available for public charter later this year.

The arrival of the Gulfstream follows hard on the heels of several new additions to Bookajet's fleet over the past few months.  These include a Global Express XRS, based in Moscow, a market where Bookajet is seeing steady charter activity; a Citation Sovereign at London Stansted, a Citation Excel and two further Beechcraft Premier 1 light jets.  With the addition of another Global (6000) for delivery in the coming months, Bookajet's UK managed fleet heads into double figures.

Global 6000 arriving 2014

Bookajet is looking forward to welcoming one of the brand newultra-long range Bombardier Global 6000s next year.  To be managed for a private owner, the 6000 will also come on to Bookajet's UK AOC.

"We are pleased to say we are starting to come out of what has been a very flat and challenging time in Europe," said Bookajet Director Jonathan Clements.  "Charter demand is also picking up - from both the leisure and business markets. And with the arrival of these additional managed aircraft we have added more personnel.

Bookajetwas established in 2003,acquired its UK Aircraft Operator's Certificate in 2006,and is now employing almost 50 staff, including flight and cabin crew at various bases in Europe. Complementing its UK operations, Bookajet is present in Italy, France, Russia and the Netherlands.

Now the sole commercial operator of the entire UK Beechcraft Premier 1 fleet, the aircraft have been working well in a niche market.  "We have seen some consolidation amongst the smaller players which has provided some interesting opportunities," said Clements.  "Our success in significantly increasing our managed fleet over the past 12 months has been down to offering a professional and fully transparent service, delivered by an outstanding team of people.

Bookajet has just promoted Captain Alex Young to Director of Flight Operations, based at Farnborough Airport.
